Pet Dental Care in
Knox County

A healthy smile is about more than fresh breath—it plays an important role in your pet's overall health and quality of life.
At
Cedar Bluff Animal Clinic, we believe dental care is a cornerstone of lifelong wellness. Our
expert veterinary team
is here to protect your pet's oral health with personalized recommendations, routine dental exams, and professional dental cleanings when needed.
Why Pet Dental Care
Matters
Dental disease is one of the most common health conditions we see in dogs and cats. Without regular care, plaque and tartar can build up below the gumline and could lead to pain, infection, tooth loss, and bacteria that may affect other organs throughout the body.
Regular dental exams allow us to identify concerns early and recommend treatment before problems become more serious.
Signs your pet may need a dental evaluation include:
- Bad breath
- Red or swollen gums
- Yellow or brown tartar buildup
- Difficulty chewing or dropping food
- Pawing at the mouth
- Loose or damaged teeth
- Changes in eating habits
Professional Dental
Cleanings
Every pet's dental needs are different. During your pet's examination, we'll evaluate their oral health and recommend a treatment plan that's appropriate for their age, lifestyle, and individual needs.
Professional dental cleanings are performed under general anesthesia so we can safely clean above and below the gumline, perform a complete oral examination, and address any concerns that may not be visible during an awake exam.
We also perform full mouth digital dental X-rays with all of our dentals—this is a part of all dental procedures and is conveniently included in the price. Dental radiographs are an important part of seeing beyond the gumline and protecting your pet’s oral health.
Your Pet's Safety
Is Our Priority
We understand that anesthesia can feel like a big step, and we're committed to making the experience as safe and comfortable as possible for both you and your pet. We'll also take time to answer your questions, explain what to expect, and make sure you feel informed and confident before your pet's procedure.
Our advanced monitoring and
diagnostic technology allows us to closely monitor your pet's heart rate, breathing, blood pressure, oxygen, temperature, and CO₂ levels, giving our team real-time information to provide safe, personalized care throughout the procedure.
